Hello Parents!

Read. Comment. Have fun! Be challenged! Be changed!

We know that being parents can be a wild adventure. It is fun and challenging at the same time. We believe that parents have the greatest potential to make a difference in a student’s life. It’s our desire to help you maximize that influence. This area of our site is here to help you stay up to date with what we’re talking about with students at fifty-six and seventy8. By knowing what we’re talking about, you have the opportunity to speak into your student’s life with a consistent message. We also want to provide resources to help you raise your child to know and follow Jesus. These resources can help you regardless of what our current teaching series is for your young adolescent.

Check out our calendar here so you don’t miss out on any events. While you’re at it, sign up for our email newsletter and/or text alerts for fifty-six and seventy8!

Small Groups

The core of our weekend programming for preteens is the small group time. We define a small group as a consistent gathering of a few for the purpose of growing in their relationship with Jesus and each other. Because of that, we place students into small groups based on gender and grade and give them a leader who is with them every week for an at least an entire year, sometimes four or more years. We also ask you to make a commitment to picking one service that you attend as consistently as possible. This way your student has the same friends and leader from week to week to make this faith development work well.

Our services are on Saturdays from 6 – 7:10pm and Sundays from 9:15 – 10:25am at the Student Ministries Center which is across the street from the Mount Pleasant Christian Church main campus.

Our specific plans vary, but these are the main elements your student(s) will find in all of our services: Bible teaching, worship songs, communion & offering, fun, small groups, prayer, games, videos, and serving others.
