Read. Comment. Have fun! Be challenged! Be changed!
We know that being parents can be a wild adventure. It is fun and challenging at the same time. We believe that parents have the greatest potential to make a difference in a student’s life. It’s our desire to help you maximize that influence. This area of our site is here to help you stay up to date with what we’re talking about with students at fifty-six and seventy8. By knowing what we’re talking about, you have the opportunity to speak into your student’s life with a consistent message. We also want to provide resources to help you raise your child to know and follow Jesus. These resources can help you regardless of what our current teaching series is for your young adolescent.

The core of our weekend programming for preteens is the small group time. We define a small group as a consistent gathering of a few for the purpose of growing in their relationship with Jesus and each other. Because of that, we place students into small groups based on gender and grade and give them a leader who is with them every week for an at least an entire year, sometimes four or more years. We also ask you to make a commitment to picking one service that you attend as consistently as possible. This way your student has the same friends and leader from week to week to make this faith development work well.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our services have moved to Thursdays from 6:30 – 8pm online at our MPCC 5678 YouTube channel!
While we are sheltering in place, we are hosting our service for students in grades 5-8 on Thursday nights from 6:30-8pm. We generally start at 6:30 on our YouTube channel, and then switch to Zoom for interaction. To get the latest details, links and registration information, check out this page we have setup for this time.
When We Meet In Person:
We have two weekly worship services for students in grades 5-8 that meet in our Student Ministries Center, located across the street from the Mount Pleasant Christian Church main campus and on the south side of MPCC’s Community Life Center building.
We meet on Saturdays from 6 – 7:10pm and Sundays from 9:15 – 10:25am. Doors open 30 minutes prior to each service. Doors are locked 20 minutes after services begin for safety.
Our weekend services includes games, music, prayer, Bible teaching, videos, fun, communion, offering and a large amount of time in small groups, the core of our weekend services.
Our small groups are broken down by grade and gender. So you’ll find 5th grade boys with other 5th grade boys and 8th grade girls with other 8th grade girls. We make it as simple as possible for new students to find and connect with a small group in our services.
